Multi BIS BISS Am Can GCH Spiritrun Marlaynes Tobe Tyler, CGNTobe was the #1 Alaskan Malamute in Canada in 2004, 2005 & 2006. The consummate show-man, Tobe always demanded the spot-light. From our first litter, by Tyler out of our beautiful Amber, Tobe went to Manitoba early in his career where he made a great start to his impressive and long show career. From Best Puppy in Show to Best in Show, Tobe had already amassed quite a portfolio of wins before he came back to Spiritrun Kennel. Tobe and I entered the ring for the first time together at the American National where he made it down to the final cut. From that moment forward we were on a ride that would see many more all-breed Best in Show and Specialty wins, group wins and placements and a trip to NYC together for the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club dog show. In his down-time, Tobe enjoyed dog-sledding and was very good at it. He was always confident and able to take the helm as single-lead without much training at all and he loved running free on our trails. Tobe shared his crate and doghouse with his Tickle-Me-Elmo doll which went everywhere with him. Tobe raised the bar quite high for us, and while we are aware he may just be one of those "once-in-a-lifetime" dogs, we will continually strive to achieve the level of excellence that he presented to us.
