We were so fortunate to be offered Amber to represent the foundation of our breeding program as she was already championed and already a proven brood bitch. We just had to love her and manage her last litter, our first, responsibility and correctly. We were blessed with the opportunity to breed her to "Tyler", BIS BISS AKC, CKC CH Nanuke's Take No Prisoners, ROM as Tyler was the #1 Alaskan malamute in the US at the time and #2 dog All-Breeds! She delivered eight beautiful puppies, four males and four females. A string of success was to follow. Of this litter, seven became Canadian Champions, and five became American and Canadian Champions. She produced two Best Puppy In Show winners, a multi-Best In Show/Specialty Show winner, a Best Veteran in Show winner. Kyrie was BOW at the American National in '00; Tobe WD at the American National in '01 and Crystal was RWB at the American National in '02. Best of all she passed on her personality, temperament and character to all of her progeny and that Spiritrun "look", well it's all hers. She helped my niece Marley learn to walk and was pretty darn close to undefeated in the show ring. She won Best of Breed at the NOWDA Specialty under Cheryl Myers-Egerton from the Veterans class beating the nations top Alaskan malamutes in doing so. It is her spirit, her nature, her personality that we miss around here the most and we think of her everyday...especially when we look at the legacy she left us.
